Job Overview

British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) is looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our sales team as a Territory Sales Manager (TSM). This role offers the opportunity to take charge of a defined geographic area, managing sales operations, driving business growth, and ensuring market leadership for one of the world’s leading tobacco companies. As a TSM, you will be responsible for managing a sales team, implementing strategic plans, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders to maximize sales potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee sales operations within a designated territory, ensuring achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the sales team to improve their performance and achieve both individual and team targets.
  • Execute trade marketing strategies and initiatives in the territory to increase market share and brand visibility.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and distributors, addressing their needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activities to develop and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and ensure efficient stock management and distribution processes to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Identify and capitalize on business development opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a sales or trade marketing role, preferably in FMCG industries.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering successful sales results.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
