Position: Senior Associate / Vice President – Investments
Location: New York
Title Level: Commensurate with experience (Senior Associate to Vice President)
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded investment professional to join our team. This position may be structured as either a Senior Associate or a Vice President, depending on the candidate’s experience, skillset, and track record.
This role plays a critical part across the full venture investment lifecycle—from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to executing deals and supporting portfolio companies’ post-investment. The focus is on high-impact opportunities in technology and artificial intelligence, spanning early-, growth-, and late-stage companies in areas such as infrastructure, enterprise software, deep tech, and applied AI.
The ideal candidate is analytical, action-oriented, and passionate about innovation. They will be expected to contribute to the firm’s investment strategy, build strong relationships with founders and ecosystem partners, and help drive long-term value across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing & Opportunity Development
- Proactively identify high-potential growth-stage and late-stage startups through ecosystem engagement, research, and network building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, incubators, accelerators, venture funds, and industry experts.
- Stay current on market trends and emerging technologies via events, demo days, and academic/industry forums.
2. Investment Execution & Due Diligence
- Lead or support end-to-end investment processes based on seniority:
- Perform deep commercial, technical, legal, and financial diligence.
- Develop investment theses and evaluate product-market fit, team strength, and business scalability.
- Structure and negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda to the Investment Committee.
3. Portfolio Management & Value Creation
- Serve as a key point of contact for assigned portfolio companies.
- Provide strategic support across fundraising, talent acquisition, go-to-market, and operational scaling.
- Track portfolio performance, support follow-on decisions, and assist with exit planning.
4. Market Research & Investment Strategy
- Conduct thematic research and help refine sector theses in technology and AI.
- Identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and whitespace opportunities.
- Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s sourcing strategy and investment frameworks.
5. Firm Building & External Engagement
· Represent the firm at industry conferences, panels, and LP meetings.
· Contribute to brand-building, thought leadership, and internal knowledge sharing.
· Support internal process improvements and, at more senior levels, mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
· Strong knowledge of AI and a solid background in the technology sector are required
· Senior Associate: 4+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting firms or operating roles in fast growing technology companies.
· Vice President: 6+ years of relevant experience with a strong track record of leading deals and working with startups.
· A strong academic track record and a history of achievement.
· Deep understanding of technology and AI sectors, with familiarity in startup ecosystems and emerging innovations.
· Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to evaluate complex and technical businesses.
· Experience in transaction execution, including due diligence, term negotiation, and deal structuring.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with founders and stakeholders.
· Proactive, resourceful, and intellectually curious, with a passion for venture investing and technology.
